Due to the high volume of dogs we have available, we would please ask that you visit the Adoptables photo album under PHOTOS to view all the dogs we currently have for adoption. Thank you for your time and hopefully we have a dog for you!
Below is a list of the dogs we currently have for adoption. To fill out an adoption application on any of these dogs please visit the 'Adoption Application Page' page.
Each dog goes to their new home after being vet checked and vaccinated. Any dog over the age of 6 months has also been spayed/neutered and microchipped. All dogs over the age of 6 months have also been heartworm tested.
All adopters will receive a medical history and be made aware of any behaviour problems and any known history from before the dog came to us.
Person must be 20 years old to adopt a dog.
You will hear from us within one week of us receiving your application if you are selected for a phone interview and to set up a time for a meet and greet. If you do not hear from us after one week of filling out the application then you were not chosen as this pets forever home. PAWS-UNITED RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADOPTION TO ANYONE.
It is highly recommended that all family members meet the new pet before adopting to be sure there are no allergies and to make sure everyone gets along. If this is a second dog, please have your pet with you for the meet and greet.
There is a required adoption fee for each dog adopted out through Paws-United. All dogs have received initial vaccines (please note that dogs under 4 months of age have not received their rabies vaccination and no dog has received bordetella vaccine, or leptospirosis vaccine). All dogs have been microchipped. All dogs over 6 months of age have also been spayed/neutered and heartworm tested.
Adoption fees are as follows, but may be subject to change depending on the individual dog. Fees may also be changed without notice. These fees are based on a normal adoption, but are not guaranteed to be so for the dog you are adopting. This is the base at which each adoption fee starts at. As we are a not for profit organization, these fees go toward all vet care put into the dog.
Adult dogs over 6 months of age- $300
Puppies under 6 months of age- $250
Seniors (age 10 or older)- $150
Boris- 2yr old Lab mix. This guy is large and in charge. He is very playful, and loves being around people. He is great with other dogs and cats, but will try and mount sometimes. He knows sit, paw, down, roll over, and stay. He has all his basics in place, he just needs some refining on his focus and attention span. He is a busy lab so will need a home that can give him lots of exercise and playtime. He needs work on his leash manners, but he does better with a gentle leader on. Boris has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed, heartworm tested, and treated with Advantage Multi.
Pluto- 1-2yr old Coonhound/Basset hound mix.
Hello!!!! My name is Pluto and I am so happy and full of life. My foster mom says I am one active pooch and act like a silly puppy. But as I said before, I am full of life so I would love a family that would enjoy taking me for walks and keeping me active. I really like giving hugs and kisses and LOVE being scratched. It feels super good! I love people.... When my foster family takes me for walks they say my nose can get the better of me (because I am a stunning hound and everything smells so good!) so they are working on trying to keep me focused on walks. OH and I love for my foster brother (dog). We LOVE to play together, inside and outside the house. My foster mama says that means I would be good in a home with more than one dog or by myself with active parents. I also have a beautiful hound voice, but I only use it when my foster family leaves (because I am sad) and when they get home (because I am so excited to see them). I also use it sometimes when I am playing with my foster parents and my foster brother. My foster mama says it is beautiful but very deep but can be loud. They live in a detached house so they say it isn’t a problem so my future family should probably live in one too to avoid my beautiful voice upsetting anyone that lives too close (aka apartment/or attached homes). I have been vaccinated, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm tested, neutered, and treated with Advantage. Please send in your application, I cannot wait to meet my forever home
Charger- a 1yr old Dutch Shepherd/lab mix. He is good with other dogs, cats, children (please supervise children and toys and food with dogs though), and even Bogart our pot belly pig. He is crate trained and does well on a leash but still needs some work. He loves everyone he meets and is full of energy. He will need work on his basics, but has already learned "sit", "down", and is working on "stay" and "come". He is a big suck with his foster family, and just loves attention, and being with them. He loves playing with his foster sibling, and is doing great with their cat as well. Charger is looking for a home that he can continue his learning in, and he would love to have a furry playmate to keep him company! Charger has been vaccinated, micro-chipped, heart worm tested, treated with Advantage and neutered.
